It starts with trust, before the camera.
My background is not that of a traditional filmmaker. As a volleyball player, I became a national champion in the Dutch premier league. Through teaching, supporting people and delivering communication training, I learned the value of listening, understanding and honest communication.
Music is an important part of my story. Vannacht slaap jij bij mij gave me Top 40 experience and earned me a Buma Award for the sixth most successful record in the Netherlands in 2025. My experience as an artist and producer shapes my feel for rhythm, emotion and imagery.
As a teacher, I began working with interns from the film programme in Groningen. What started as content for my own artist brand grew into MONQ Media, creating music videos, documentaries, music promotion and personal branding.
In every collaboration, I want to understand who you are, what you want to express and what we expect of each other. Clear communication and mutual trust make room for spontaneity, enjoyment and genuine emotion during filming. That is how honest, personal images emerge, true to how it felt.
